Duo Mobile is our company's multi-factor authentication system. Every employee must enroll their cell phone to receive prompts from Duo. Users will receive Duo prompts when logging into their computer and when connecting to the VPN (if working remotely).
At the Windows login screen, after inputting your password, you will receive a screen similar to the one shown below:
Before you approve the Duo prompt, make sure you check the "Remember me for four hours" box at the bottom of the window. This will prevent you from getting another Duo prompt at the Windows login screen for four hours*.
*If you change your network connection during the day (i.e. if you first approve a Duo prompt on WiFi, then switch to a hard wired/Ethernet connection, Duo will prompt you again on your next login, even if it is still within the four hours window. A restart of your computer will also "reset" Duo so you start fresh and get a new prompt from Duo, regardless of the "Remember me" box being previously checked.
