Cleartouch Training Bank

Modified on Wed, Jun 26 at 10:43 AM

Effective spring 2023, all FFL branch computers will have a shortcut for the Cleartouch training bank on their desktop:

As of September 2023, this has been added to all affiliate branch computers.

FFL users will log in with their main Cleartouch credentials.  Other affiliate employees will need to be provided a separate login.  Any transactions will not be done live / in production.  This is simply for testing and training.

Occasionally, you may have live Cleartouch and training Cleartouch open at the same time.  As it may be difficult to tell the difference between the two windows (it is the exact same logo / icon), you should ensure you are using the correct instance by looking in the bottom right corner of the Cleartouch window.  If the ST (station ID) number begins with 100, you are in the training bank.  If it begins with a different number, (e.g. FFL = ST110), you are in the live bank.

Instructions for IT Admins - Setting Up the Training Bank License/Shortcut:

  1. Go to C:/ and copy/paste the Cleartouch3 directory.  Rename it “Cleartouch3 TR” so we know it’s for training.
  2. Go into the new Cleartouch3 TR folder and delete the ctInstanceRegistration.config file
  3. Scroll down and find the Fiserv.Cleartouch.Desktop.Startup.Bootstrap --> right-click --> Send to --> Desktop (create shortcut)
  4. Once the shortcut has been created on your desktop:
    1. Rename it to “Cleartouch Training Bank
    2. Cut/paste it from there and put it into the Public desktop (that way, it appears for all users who log into that computer)
  5. Double click it and you will see the CT registration box.  To register it to the test bank, you will need to have credentials for 100 Diamond (syncs with 110 Diamond, so basically use your FFL CT login)
    1. Enter bank number 100
    2. Enter branch number
    3. Select station number (order from Fiserv if a new one is needed)
  6. Once it’s registered, you can test logging in.  If Teller Capture is working properly in the live bank on that computer, then it should work the same way in the test bank with no issues.

Setting Up Training Bank Accounts:

  • FFL employees will log in with their same FFL live CT credentials (110D syncs with 100D).
  • Other affiliate employees will need to be set up with a separate account in 100D, same username as live (first initial + last name) AND same teller number as the live bank.  Password can be the same for a while, but eventually it will fall out of sync with their live password as the two banks are separate.
