Occasionally, you may encounter the following error in OneNote for Windows 10:
To resolve, try these steps:
1. In the OneNote desktop app, click File --> Info --> View Sync Status
2. In the Shared Notebook Synchronization dialog box that opens, click any notebook icon with a yellow triangle warning icon over it to see the name of any section that's causing sync problems.
3. Click the Sync Now button next to the notebook containing the section.
If the steps above do not work, try the following:
1. Open OneDrive (not OneNote) in the system tray --> View Online
2. Select the OneNote file you want to view --> File menu --> Info --> Edit in Desktop mode.
3. The file should open successfully in the OneNote for Windows 10 app on your computer and sync back up.
