As of January 2022, Lakewood HQ has two Teams rooms set up by Root - the Executive Board Room and the Hickory Conference Room.

See attached Quick Reference guides with details on integration with Outlook and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device).

To find and book a Teams room in Outlook:

When you add the room/resource to your meeting invitation, note that all Teams rooms are named "Teams Rm. - (Conference Room name)."

To use the equipment in the Teams room, simply include the Teams Rm. in your Outlook meeting invite.

If you forget to invite the Teams room to your meeting until the last minute, please note that it may take a minute or two for your meeting to appear on the control panel screen after you send the invitation.

Important: Zoom meetings are not currently supported in our Teams rooms.  While Zoom functionality is not supported by Microsoft in our Teams rooms, some users have had success joining Zoom meetings on the equipment in various Teams conference rooms.  Simply forward an existing Zoom meeting invitation to the Teams room in Outlook and it should appear on the control panel with a "Join" option.  However, this is at your own risk / no guarantee that it will work properly or with full functionality as Teams meetings do.  IT recommends using our default collaboration platform, Teams, for all meetings.

FMHC Executive Board Room ONLY - to join a Zoom meeting:

As of June 2024, simply forward the Zoom meeting invitation to the Board room and it will appear on the screen, just as a Teams meeting does.

Alternatively, on the touch panel, you will see an icon that says "Join with ID." Select that option, and you will see some drop-down options. Under "Meeting Provider," select Zoom. Proceed filling out the empty fields with your Zoom meeting information (Meeting ID and Passcode).

Full instructions for joining a Zoom meeting in the Board room are attached.

Keep in mind, while this is capable of running a Zoom meeting, it is Zoom-lite. In other words, you will have basic functions and features, but not the full gambit of what Zoom hardware typically provides.
