Sending a Screenshot to the Service Desk

Modified on Wed, Apr 3 at 2:53 PM

You can use the Snipping Tool on your computer to capture an error message and send it to the Service Desk.

Click on the Windows Start button (bottom-left corner of the screen) and search for "snip" - the Snipping Tool should appear as an option:

Click on the Snipping Tool.

The Snipping Tool menu appears.  Click New.

Your display will look gray shaded, and the cursor will turn into a cross-hair

Left-click & hold your mouse and drag over the error you want to capture, then release the mouse

Click on the Send Snip icon in the menu bar (envelope icon) and select Email Recipient (as attachment)

Outlook will open with the image as an attachment.

Address the email to ServiceDesk@firstmutualholding.com, put in a subject, and add any additional notes in the body of the email then SEND.

The email will create a Service Desk ticket.
