Sending a Secure Email

Modified on Fri, Dec 8, 2023 at 1:19 PM

The BAE/SilverSky portal will scan outbound emails for any NPPI before it gets sent.  If it detects any sensitive information, like SSNs or account numbers, it will automatically encrypt the email message before sending.

To manually send an encrypted email, begin your subject line with SECURE:

You may enter the actual subject of the email after that.

When the customer or third party replies to your email, it will be sent back to you securely via the same encrypted portal.  You should receive a notification in your Outlook inbox informing you that you have a secure email waiting in the portal.  To check the portal manually, visit https://mailsafe.perimeterusa.com/.

If the customer/third party attempts to register/log into SilverSky and receives the following error message:

stream_socket_client: errno[111] errstr[Connection refused]

... please ensure that they are using the site in Google Chrome, not Microsoft Edge.
