DynaCore Troubleshooting

Modified on Sat, Mar 2 at 2:58 PM

Effective spring 2023, First Federal Lakewood branches use the DynaCore app to operate their Glory machine (cash recycler).

On the previous DynaCash system, every branch had one designated branch desktop computer to act as the "server" that controlled Glory.  Currently, DynaCore has one centralized virtual server at the Cleveland data center.  Even if connectivity from the branch to the data center is lost, the DynaCore controller (long black box on the teller line, NOT the small one on the side of the Glory machine) has an SD card to store its own logs, so it can work "offline" at the branch in that event.  Basically, this means that Glory should never go down, unless the power is out or something happens to the DynaCore controller.

If you receive any TCP Timeout error message, check the yellow "Warnings" box in the top right corner of the DynaCore program.  If you see an error listed, Process it, then Exit to reset it.

If the error message persists, you can reboot the DynaCore controller (black box on the teller line / near the Glory machine) by turning its power switch off and back on.  Make sure everyone is logged out of the DynaCore program on their computer first.

If you are attempting to withdraw money, you enter the amounts that you want, but the numbers do not stick/keep disappearing, try clicking the green toggle button as shown below - this will switch you between the amount of money you want and the quantity of bills that you want.

If you encounter the error message below that DynaCore is "Offline":

...then check the DynaCore controller to verify power and network connectivity.  This controller is usually up on the teller line counter, NOT the smaller black box that is on the side of the Glory machine.

If you encounter the following error message in Dynacore (sometimes happens after a power outage):

...turn off both the Glory machine / cash recycler and the Dynacore controller (black box), then turn on the Glory machine / cash recycler and wait until it says ready for use.  After that, turn on the Dynacore controller (black box). Be sure to process any warnings in Dynacore. Check that first, then reboot everything.

When DynaCore is down during business hours:

  • Contact Retail Ops and the IT Service Desk immediately to report the issue for troubleshooting.  The issue may need to be escalated to Cornelius.
    • You can contact Cornelius directly and they can walk you through the steps to reset the DynaCore controller.  (800) 752-5868 option 3 (service calls) or Equips web portal
  • To continue assisting customers with withdrawals, you should rely on the supply of cash in the vault until DynaCore is fixed.
  • For balancing at the end of the day, Glory totals up to the point the system went offline can be pulled from Viewer.

If you continue experiencing errors, please contact the Service Desk.
