File Explorer Windows Keep Closing

Modified on Tue, Mar 22, 2022 at 4:36 PM

Occasionally, you may find that your open folders for G:/, U:/, and other network drives may randomly close out, causing you to have to re-open your Windows File Explorer windows.

To prevent this, try implementing the following setting:

Change your File Explorer Options

  1. Press Windows Key + S and enter folder options.
  2. Select File Explorer Options from the menu.
File Explorer crashes Windows 10 right click
  3. Navigate to View tab.
  4. Check Launch folder windows in a separate process and click on Apply and OK to save changes.
