Nautilus Thick Client (OnBase) ODBC Driver & System DSN

Modified on Tue, Feb 6, 2024 at 12:54 PM

*NOT A DOWNGRADE
  1. 1. Install driver

    G:\IT\Apps\Nautilus (Thick Client)\ODBC13 Driver
  2. 2. Open ODBC Data Source Admin

Must be opened from this location: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe
  3. 3. Create System (not User) DSN

Driver Needed: ODBC Driver 13 for SQL Server
    ODBC Name: OnBasePROD (or NautilusPROD)
DB Server: WCLENAUDB01 (old one was wlkwobdb02)
SQL Server Login - User name: viewer    Password: cprt_hsi
    Default Database: OnBase
    • Leave all other settings as default.  Test the database connection at the end.  If it fails due to an untrusted SSL certificate, check the "Trust server certificate" box on the last page of the wizard and try again.
  4. Then, proceed to installing the Nautilus Thick Client (install files: \\wclenautest01\NautilusInstalls\Nautilus Client v21.1.18).  Select the above System ODBC you created above during the installation process.

  5. You may need to copy a "Nautilus" shortcut from an existing user's machine that has all the necessary switches in the shortcut properties Target line.  Examples:  -AL for Auto Login, i.e. SSO; -PRINTMON to enable the Virtual Print Driver.  NO user should ever have the -ROMANZO switch - this is strictly reserved for the Corporate Records manager, currently Linda Sojka.
